Watch condition grades

Every watch listed here carries one condition value from a fixed vocabulary, so the same words mean the same thing on every listing. The six grades follow the Chrono24 condition system.

Vocabulary version 1 · In effect from 2026-07-26

The six grades

New

Like new

Very good — minor wear
Minor signs of wear that are physically imperceptible. Case edges and dial markings are preserved.
Good — moderate wear
Visible and perceptible scratches, scuffs or small dents. A bracelet may show some stretch.
Fair — major wear
Major noticeable wear, with scratches or dents and visible wear to the bracelet or strap.
Incomplete
Parts are missing or the watch does not function. Offered for repair or for spares only.

Before a grade is confirmed

Assessment pending
No condition assessment has been confirmed for this watch yet. It appears here for review, it is never presented as a graded listing, and the publication guard keeps it off the production site until a person confirms a grade.

A grade is confirmed by a person and is never inferred from a photograph. Component-level assessment, service history and test results are recorded for each watch and shared on enquiry.
